THE ECUADORIAN AMAZON
The Ecuadorian Amazon extends over 130 035 sq. Km., more than 48% of the Country. It is scarcely inhabited, about 390 000 people. To the South of the forest, nowadays there are still some Natives Communities living in total harmony with the surrounding nature. This is a preserved wild ecosystem where the World's richest biodiversity can be found.
It's an ideal area for nature observation with plants and animals nowhere else to be seen. Parrots, all sorts of monkeys, jaguars, eagles, harpies, Caymans, anacondas, catfishes, abound in the Ecuadorian Rainforest.

Watching these animals in their natural surroundings is one unforgettable experience.

CABAÑAS SHIRIPUNO

LOCALIZATION
The "Cabañas Shiripuno" are located in the Rainforest (a.k.a. Oriente) of the Pastaza and Orellana Province on the anthropological Reserve Huaorani, a approximately 6 hours from the town of Francisco de Orellana (a.k.a. Coca). The area has one of the largest biodiversity in the World an can be easily reached by land, river or by plane.

SHIRIPUNO RIVER
The Shiripuno River is located in the area just south of Yasuni National Park. This river formerly belonged to the national park, but later became part of the Huaorani Reserve. Extensive development has not reached this territory so human impact still remains quite minimal. For this reason, the region enjoys the same biodiversity as the national park and visitors are able to experience an abundance of spectacular flora and fauna.
